Hi

What I'm looking for is to round to 1 decimal, the value of the thickness into my custom column in the content center family table, before I place the part.

Is there a math function to get the formula directly in the family table?

Thanks

Hi and thanks.

I did try something but it's not working.

1-Place part from content center.

2-Open part file as template.

3-In the "Document Settings" from the template file of the Content Center Family, Under the Units Tab, change to 1 digit.

4-In content center editor,Replace Family template.

I probably did something wrong.

Can you explain step by step please?

Hi,

The members that have already been created need to be purged all, because they have already the wrong precision!

Have you changed the parameter precision for the length too?

Hi

I'm sorry but I understand nothing of the method you try to explain to me.

How do I purge the member?

No I did not change the parameter precision for the length, because I manage it differently.

Is my step by step method good?

I try to have my content center ANSI steel shapes with metric dimensions in my BOM.

Thanks again for helping

Hi,

No problem, this is not easy to understand..

By purging i mean:

The Content Center files that have been created already in the past are stored anywhere defined in the ipj file.

These files need to be updated according the new definitions in the Content Center File, since you have changed the template ipt file.

This means either these files must be updated manually, or you use the update tool within inventor with the refresh button.

Or you delete all created files stored in you Content Center Folder.
