Precision of Estimated Cost column in BOM

The current estimated cost column allows for only two decimal places. The problem is if I have screws that are sold $4.97/100 and want to enter the unit cost, i.e. $0.0497, it rounds up to $0.05. This is not okay. Is there any way to increase the precision of the values in the predefined 'estimated cost' column of the bill of materials?
