Is this possible to do via iLogic without going through the ExcelWorksheet object?

I looked at the relevant help files before posting here. The iAssemblyTableColumns object (at least according to the 2015 API help) has the following methods Properties: Application, Count, Type, and Item. The iAssemblyTableColumn object has the following method: Delete.

 

My post here was to possibly get feedback on what can/can't be done with iLogic so I don't waste any more time.

It's definitely looking like you're SOL, IMO. Inventor does heavily rely on Excel, so it does make sense that regardless of what your are doing, if it involves Excel, it's going to be going through excel whether you intend it to or not.
