For the last few hours, the iLogic panel is blank when I open new parts or assemblies, but not drawings:

The fix is to close the browser and reopen it. Is anybody else seeing this?

Resurrecting this post in hopes of finding an actual solution.

I have a user seeing this very thing all of a sudden and every "fix" I've been able to find on the "Internets" hasn't resolved such.

Anyone have other ideas?

@Anonymous

If restarting Inventor does not resolve this ( for when this is a graphics issue) then check into the Global Forms location.

The global forms are located under the Design Data folder.

I would check that the project file or Application Options > Files > Design Data location is pointing to the correct location. Recall that if the Design Data path is set in the project file it overrides the Application Options path.

To examine where the Global Forms location is currently set, you can right-click on the panel and choose "Open Containing Folder".

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

A little more info on this that may help...

When I right click the browser and select "Open Containing Folder" it takes me to a different directory than what it does for the affected user.

How do I direct it to the same directory on his local drive?

Hi @Anonymous.  I don't know what fixes have been tried before, but there are a couple things to look into.  There is an external XML file, usually named "iLogicBrowserUiFormSpecification.xml", that I believe is usually stored within the DesignData\iLogic\UI folder, where all those global iLogic form specifications are being stored.  If the user has recently moved the location of their DesignData folder to a new location, such as on a network drive (Application Options, File tab), and they did not copy that folder path and file to that new location, it may not be able to find that file.  Also, there is a new functionality that I just noticed about a month ago, where you can right-click somewhere in the open area of the Global Forms tab (below the tab), then choose 'Refresh' from the right-click menu, that seems to correct some external forms related issues.  I skipped from 2022 to 2024, so I do not know if that was available in the 2023 version or not.

Edit:  Looks like I took to long typing. 🙂

Nevermind...chalk this up to Operator error.

Thought he had checked everything....he was in the wrong project file.

That happens to us every once in a while too, and we don't know why.  Come in, start up PC, start Inventor, some things are different, and not finding our templates.  Most of our stuff is stored on the network.  Check which project file is active, and it has switch back to the 'Default' one, for some reason.  Switch it back and that fixes it...usually. 😏
