Custom file templates are reset to default

Using Inventor 2013 (2014, same behavior), I've customized our part, assembly and drawing templates with the original names (i.e. Standard.ipt, ...) and put them in a network shared folder.

I've created an Application Options file to use the same options and placed it also in a network shared folder.

As soon as I "Import" this Application Options file, the shared templates are reset to the Autodesk Standard Templates (Standard.ipt = 05/03/2012), in the shared folder.

A solution could have been to use custom names, but the users cannot use the scroll list when creating a new file. This scroll list searches for "Standard" named files only. And the standard files will reappear too, which will be confusing !

Have a solution ?

What scroll list are you talking about?

This is a know issue, and yes, you just have to use a custom named file ie; Standard [COMPANY NAME].ipt AND/OR put them in a sub-folder of actual templates to use.

The scroll list I was speaking about is the one under the arrow near the NEW button in the Quick Access Toolbar.

Thank you Justin, for having confirmed what I was afraid of : "known problem" !
