coordinate system points

 I am trying to attach coordinate points to an assembly file and I am running into problems.  We are creating an operating system for our designs, and I need attach these points to the assembly, label them, and be able to export them with the assembly file.  We are able to do this in Solid Edge, but the dimensions are not being transported with the geometry.  I am hoping that some one here knows if Inventor is capable of something like this.

Hi! What particular format you are interested? STEP? I am not aware of an out-of-box solution to do that in Inventor. You may want to take a look at the Inventor App store and see if there is a tool available.

It sounds like you are trying to do something fairly complex. If you can document a bit more about your current workflow and what you are trying to achieve that would be helpful. 

I think this is similar to what you are trying to accomplish but would need iLogic implemented to achieve:

we did find a way to make it work.  We had to link each point to the extrusion length and there were some stumbling blocks, but I think we will be able to make it work.  Thank you for your concern.
