Inventor 2016 Controlling Parameters By Rules To Turn Box Gray

I'm using Inventor 2016, one of my colleagues told me that once he saw in one assembly or part with some parameters and some rules, and when one of the rules turn off one of the parameters, the parameter in the parameter box turn in gray and with one line all over the parameter, is this true, and if it's true how can I do it?

Sorry, I have no idea what you are asking for.  Sounds like you are asking for an iLogic rule that strikes out parameters?

You can basically get/write a rule for everything you can't do out of the box with Inventor.

Maybe you should ask more of your co-worker seeing how he is the one that saw and experienced this.  Maybe some pics if you can drum some up.

I think you get this when you derive one component into an other and also derive parameters.

In the component where the other is in deriven, the parameters from that other part will be greyed because you can't change them there.

for that you need to go to the base part.
