Balloon and Part List

Hi,

I have one main IAM with many IAM inside, and inside these IAM i have IPT. So in the main IAM drawing, I want to put itens, but i need to know if it's possible to put balloon on the inside IAM without select any IPT components, because if i do that in the part lis will appear the balloon 1.1.1 for example, and not item 1. only.

I hope you understand my question.

Than don't expand the partlist.
or don't use the "structured levels" in your drawing.

In that part list i d0n't need to expand. But now i need to create another part list with a specific itens and in this part list i need to expand. And when i expand one part list the others in the same drawing will expand too. There is any option to avoid this?

structured levels? This will affect all the part list in the same drawing or the one i select?

And can you explain me in a few words what the structured levels does?

it watches through the assembly structure without take care of the actual assembly structure. Like Phantom and referenced..

But that will not affect the visualization of that itens in the other part list?

Please first explain the complete situation.
Do you have more than 1 assembly in you drawing?
Or do you have 1 assembly but with different Partlist on each drawing.

Show me your drawing and what wyou try to do...

I have one assembly with differente part list in the same drawing (One drawing with more than one sheet)

So if you look to the image 1 you will see the part list not expand, and the image 2 shows the item, this situation is the one i want!

And when i expand the part lis from image the item changes like image 4.

So my problem is, when i expand this one part list, the others, that are in the same drawing, will expand too!

I want a main representation with a main part list, only with the principal itens, and then i will create more parts list, with more itens, and here i will need to expand to see the itens inside the principal itens!

And another thing, when i put a part list show me this menu (image1) and when I select the view the part of “BOM Settings and Properties” can’t be select (image2).

Do you know why? or this way will not work too?

Because it is defined already in the first partlist of the same model on a different location/sheet.

The mechanism you could use is to create two or more (or as many assemblies as you need partlist in the drawing).
Set these assembliess "Phantom"
For example You have an assembly "Car.iam"
you have 2 phantom assemblies
1= X.iam, with Car.iam in it
1= Y.iam, with Car.iam in it

put these X and Y in your drawing (in a different view) and you are able to change the partlist structure as you want.

So this is not an away to solve this problem, because we can't select these option for each part list! 😕

If you create Phantom assemblies X Y Z etc.. for each partlist then yes it is solving the problem I think.
Or am I missing something.
But you are right without this workaround it is not solving the problem.

But this solution will not multiplicate the quantity in the final part list?
