Assigning the features of content center parts, "names" for iLogic automation

To start off, to say that I am unexperienced with customizing Content Center, is a gross understatement. In addition, my company only just recently upgraded to 2020, so I am very unfamiliar with the additions made to iLogic with the latest version.
My goal ultimately here, is to add named features to our iLogic driven assemblies/templates, to allow for more automated drafting, by allowing direct callouts in a iLogic driven drawing template.
And while I am familiar with some clever coding and extensive work, you can create iLogic driven templates that achieve this using work features, I want to skip that process entirely, and dig into the very heart of what this ultimately does, or rather, for my intents and purposes, which is add named callouts to the features of content center parts, while having a more robust scalability to allow the same template to work on the various product lines I design, with similar, if not, the outright same callouts.
Is there any way of doing this?
I must mention, I am limited to the scope of template assemblies, and content center parts, I must mention. We by majority use structural steel, so using "standardized" content center parts has become a large part of our workflow.
