Excel iLogic error code

Hi. I have an engineer that recently received a new computer and Inventor installed. She uses mostly iLogic to generate the outputs needed for her projects. Calculations are mapped to an Excel sheet with pertinent data needed based on choices. We have been using the existing set up for many years. But since her computer was set up she is getting the attached error message. I reinstalled Inventor, worked with IT to make sure Excel was mapped clean to files. Updated all Service Packs and still getting the error. We have others that received new computers and this is not happening. They are working as expected.

Wondering if anyone has had this issue and have possible solutions.

Thank you.

Hi! What Inventor release are you on? The error message seems to indicate Inventor has trouble launching Excel when needed. Try a simple test. Open any part and go to Manage -> Create iPart. Does it work?

Check Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment variables -> Is "UseLibXL" there?

Please install all critical Windows updates and applicable Inventor updates.

Many thanks!

I hit accept solution by accident. I did your Simple Test and seemed to work fine. We are currently using 2016 and I have other engineers using he same set up without issue. I am meeting with our IT group this morning to discuss and am thinking of having them uninstall and reinstall Office.

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Thanks,

Larry
