Annotating a hole with multiple diameters

I am running Inv2010 and I make hydraulic valve blocks.

Currently I create a valve cavity in a part by defining a hole dia. and depth and then on top of the hole I insert an ifeature block for the valve port.

When I create a Inventor dwg file and call out the valve cavity the hole feature note will only pick up one diameter and depth so I type the remaning information in manually (valve cavity type, minor diameter depth, spot face depth, etc.).

The issue is that information does not update with changes to the part file.

I can use the hole feature note to call out the additional diameters but this means multiple leaders pointing to the same valve cavity. I would prefer to have one leader and note per valve cavity.

Is there a way to link iFeature properties to a leader note or a way to combine multiple hole feature notes together in an Inventor .dwg file?

I hope this may help.

I am curious if anyone has an answer to this as well.

This is a simple hole, but for more complicated holes, I use form tools that are dimensioned in separate drawings and reference them in a leader as well.

Best regards

Thanks for the tip.

This process does allow the annotation to update in the drawing with changes to the part. It does require a lot of typing and if there are multiple insertions of the same iFeature it is cumbersome to track which parameter goes to which insertion.

I have been wondering the same question!
