Work Points using x,y and z coordinates

Define Work Points by setting x, y and z coordinates. 

Right now, Work Points can be placed on on edges, intersection of planes, lines etc. It is however not possible to define a point simply by giving x, y and z coordinates.

Although it is possible to define Ground Points with x, y and z coordinates, Ground Points cannot be linked to parameters. Changing the parameter value therefor will not update the position of the Ground Point.

It's a bit cumbersome, but you can insert a User Coordinate System at will. Then you can insert a point in the intersection of two of the UCS axis.

You can define a point by coordinates relative to the origin system in a 3D sketch. Then you can create a work point on that sketch point.

If you create a workpoint by the 3 origin planes, you can then edit the automatically created contraints to specify the coordinate.

Hi,
if you have only one or two or thee working points it would work with planes or som mesurments. But if you have 100 or 200 or more workingpoints, then it would not be practical any more.

Given the increasing importance of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS), the ability to model and work with coordinates in Inventor is becoming increasingly important.

It would be important and great if you could take this idea (Feature for linking coordinates x, y, z with an Excel spreadsheet - Autodesk Community) and implement it.
