Please allow us to use multiple core processor for Stress Analysis

Please allow us to use multiple core processor for Stress Analysis

This idea is created at the request of one of our clients. Below is the content of his email:
"Please allow us to use the entire resources of our computers in simulation processes (and more). We have great machines (more and more cores) and we don't have the ability to use them to their full potential.
The suggestion to start using Fusion360 software is a mockery. We bought a much more expensive program and pay a subscription and the suggestions in other Inventor Ideas posts are out of place.
If you are not going to change anything in Inventor Professional and are going to stop developing Inventor then please tell us - we will switch to other software that is developing (SOLIDWORKS) sooner."

Customer already read/voted for the following ideas but the problem is still not changed/solved:

Damian,

AMEN!!!!!!

And while they are at it fix the crash process so that IV saves what you've done before it crashes and you loose everything.

Agreed!

I run a 16 core processor, and watch as 1 core takes the full load and the others idle for 10 minutes while computing contacts. This seems like it could be distributed.

It's amazing that CAD software in this day and age doesn't have multi-core support.

Amen. 🙂 I too would rather learn Solidworks than jump on Fusion. If fusion comes closer to Inventor in functionality, appearance, workflow, file structuring and more.,then i might. Problem is that the defence industry would never use Fusion if there is no offline support. So by design Fusion is limiting its own potential to dominate the future marked.

Autodesk may not like it, but they are stuck supporting Inventor for a long time.
