Add an Alignment or Orientation Setting to the Circular Pattern tool

Currently, we must use the Rectangular Pattern tool to create a circular pattern if the orientation of the patterned feature is not meant to rotate.

Using the Rectangular Pattern tool for a circular pattern is not discoverable to new users leaving many of them to conclude that this is a limitation of Inventor. Additionally, the selections required to do this in rectangular pattern are a bit involved for the user who only finds the need to do this occasionally.

Adding an option to the Circular Pattern tool would help.

The ability, the option, to create and control orientation in the circular pattern too, and not only in the rectangular pattern.

Any updates on when this will be available? I have Inventor Pro 2015 64-bit Build:223 SP2 and don't see this fuctionality.

Is this only for part feature level? It would be good if you could do that on part solids and assemblies as well. Right now I can only see rectangular pattern substitute working on feature level only.

This idea has been implemented within Autodesk Inventor 2017. A "Fixed" rotational setting is available within circular patterns for features within a part, or occurrences within an assembly. Special thanks to everyone who cast a vote for it.
