Ability to change Presentation view in a drawing after placement

Currently in Inventor, when you place a view from a Presentation file, you get the option to select which Snapshot view you want to use:

However, once you have placed the view, if you want to change to a different Snapshot, the list is greyed out and it is not possible.

This would be a useful function and would maintain consistency across view generation, as you can change a normal assemblies View, Position and/or LOD after the view has generated.

Commenting to bring this thread back up a bit. This problem is still a frustration for us every day, I've posted a few times about the poorly designed Presentation environment but it gets ignored. Please Autodesk, can you at least address problems like this and make it slightly more usable?

I'm trying to make an assembly instruction document. If steps are similar, I'm unable to copy and paste the existing views and change which snapshot they reference. Instead, I need to recreate the views referencing the step from scratch. This takes an significant amount of extra time, especially if the views are non-standard.

Also, if the view needs re-creating then all the text leaders get deleted with it, unless you spend time moving each leader outside the view boundary box first. Not good.

Another option that is not an option.  Still a problem with Inventor 2023.  This should be a simple fix.  Things like this make Inventor only semi-parametric.

I'm shocked this is still the case. Changing a view orientation is common practice. Deleting the view and starting over when you have dozens of balloons and notes is unacceptable. I'm pretty sure the older versions of Inventor used to work fine. Not sure when this changed, but this is basic functionality.

Please fix this issue, should be no different with Presentation Views than Assembly Views. Should be able to change scenes and snapshot once view is placed.

Waste of time and annoying to redo so much work, in many cases.

Completely agree, 6 years later from the original post date - terribly disappointing that this remains an issue in Inventor! Extremely disruptive to the workflow to have to delete and re-place the drawing view when based on a presentation, re-attach all balloons and locate them similarly to how they were before. Bush league. Competitive platforms enable on-the-fly updates of exploded views (which, I should mention, are accommodated within a SINGLE ASSEMBLY FILE - ie, no need to make an entirely separate .ipn file in order to make an exploded view). Time to keep up with the joneses, Autodesk.

Solidworks can do this no problem, we're wasting hours recreating views. Autodesk needs to resolve this issue.
