Hello everyone,

I came across a strange thing, when I was dimensioning geometry in 2D sketch I saw impossible dimension value. Luckily it was a reference dimenion, but how this can happen? I attached a video, where you can see it.

Hi

What happens when you select Update All or Rebuild All?

Hi @kacper.suchomski

well there is no need for that. As you can see on the video, after deleting the first dim I create new one and the value was allright. Without any other modifications the bug was there for the first time and without any update or else (I just delete it) for the second time it wasn't.

What I can say is that this example is not a big thing but obviously there is something wrong with the code itself, I don't know exactly how dim in Inventor work but if this could happen I would say it's broken.

That's why I asked you to check the update tools.
Not so that you can fix a minor bug, but so that you can check their usability.

I did it. After I change the dimensions of course, as you can see on video.

Should something happen?

I don't understand how this action could affect the part, specifically this bug after that there is no anymore.

You didn't do what I asked.
I asked you to check the update tools and you made a manual change.
It's not the same.

If you had done what I asked, we would have had more information to analyze.
Now we don't know what could have gone wrong.

Yes I got you. I wanted to show the error on the video.

Next time  with the same bug.

Hi! Try Manage -> Rebuild All. If it does not work, the sketch dimension is permanently corrupted and it needs to be recreated. If it works, it means the corruption was temporary. Only the display was corrupted.

Many thanks!
