I think that they have finally broken the newsgroup completely. I'm gone until this is fixed. Outlook express messages are not able to be sent as of today.

I imagine this thread will go "poof" soon enough... Can't point out their "errors" after all.

How many duplicate posts showed up over the weekend ? I had 3-4 in one thread myself. When I hit "Submit", I got a "500" error or similar, so I waited a while and submitted it again. Turns out *each* one was in fact making it through ! I saw dups from others too so I wasn't the only one.

Also, why can't we login with Firefox ?

Why can't I access my old account ?

Despite the fact that I have been unable to get a definative listing of what
is known to be broken, what has been fixed, what is being worked and what
browser/OS combinations might be toxic, rest assured that I'm still trying
to get answers (as are others).

I realize that with all of the other bad news circulating everyone's
patience may be wearing thin but all I can do is let you know that you
should feel free to continue posting your issues here.

Gary I must say that I did get a good chuckle when I received the Autodesk
Subscription "post card" in the mail revealing their new and improved
system. I was reading through it and thought, boy, don't think marketing and
the web team were really on the same page here. Marketing says how much
better everything is, and well as we all can see I think that was a little
premature.

Next time probably better to make sure it works before printing off and
mailing out to customers.

Anyways if it did one thing it made me laugh, so I guess that counts for
something:)

Hi Troy,

In between everything else that I'm doing, I'm still trying to get some
information on what issues have been addressed and which ones are still
outstanding. I'd like to think that I'm not really the cause of the downfall
of Western civilization as seems to be implied elsewhere... 😉

Google's Chrome browser (since I can't login with Firefox) doesn't remain signed in even when told to "Remember Me". This is usually a cookie-related issue so I'll try and find Chrome's cookies and delete the Autodesk ones and try again.

Gary,

Maybe if you give us the name of the junior high computer club that has been put in charge of managing the groups we can contact them directly.

Maybe "Remember Me" only works for the username and not the password.... Is that the case for others ? Chrome doesn't prompt me to save my login info either, which I think can be controlled by the web page.

That's how it works here with IE6 now.
Prior to the site 'upgrade', it would remember u/n and p/w.

Known Issues

Your continued patience is appreciated as we work to resolve the following
issues. We understand the impact these issues have on your productivity,
and want to assure you we are aggressively working to resolve.

1. Rich text interface text field doesn't always display when replying to a
post. Workaround: use back button to refresh page and attempt to repost
again.
2. Message line breaks not preserved. Workaround for new posts: use Rich
Text interface
3. Attachments not consistently accessible.

We value your feedback. The Discussion Group & User Community feedback form
is available to contact us.

Resolved Issues

10/22: "Up one category" navigation. In some instances this was linking
back to the homepage incorrectly.
10/22: Incorrect prompt for login while attempting to search - login failed
when userID and password entered.
10/7: Sign in screen fails to load. We discovered that some popup or
advertisement blockers add-ons can affect the sign in "overlay" screen from
loading. You'll need to configure these add-ons to allow activities on
Autodesk sites. Note: Autodesk sites do not contain third-party popup
advertisements or unwanted items typically blocked by these tools.
10/7: Search collection was not being generated correctly so users could not
search/find all content. Note: default search is 90 days. From the search
results you use the advanced search options to refine your search by broader
date range and other factors
