Trouble creating flat pattern

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've tried creating a flat pattern from a curved panel but I'm not having any luck. I've tried creating the part different ways, so I'm not sure what I'm missing from this process. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be grateful.

I'm using Inventor 2015.

Now draw the two object lines overtop of the construction lines on the left side.

Dimension as shown.

Draw the same two lines on the right side, but do not dimension.

Instead of dimension, add Equal (=) constraints to the lines on the left.  (you might have to use the Right Mouse Button - Select Other to get the object lines rather than the construction lines.

You are missing obvious dimensions?

Create a vertical construction centerline.

Sketch a circle as shown.

You will have to right click to enter the dimension as a Radius of 616.First Arc.png

What did you do?

Notice that the sketch changed color indicating that it is no longer constrained?

Start over.

(and the instruction was to dimension as a radius - not a diameter)

Do not go beyond the steps in this video (turn on your sound).

There are some critically important considerations that I must get information from you before proceeding to next step.
