Sweep tool not accepting path

I created a 3D sketch of a path that I am trying to sweep a circle through to make a tunnel. When I select the sweep tool I can choose my circle profile but when I try to select the path that I made, only a portion of the path is selected, and a preview appears for just that portion. I can also just select the other portion, but a preview does not appear for it. The same exact process worked for me earlier, but I had to change some dimensions and redo it. It will only take 3 curves of the path, but I need all 5. I provided a picture of the full sketch, the option to select only 3 curves of the path, and the preview when I select the path.

I wonder if it is self-intersecting?

I don't think it is. I zoomed in and realized that the lines are not connected, but every time I redo the center point arc, the arc never connects to my point that I made for the path. I also checked that my points were exact.

I constrained the two lines to be tangent and tried sweeping again, but it still wouldn't let me select the whole path. This is what it looked like when I just selected the last 2 curves.

Can you share the part?

Hi

The path (3D sketch) is not defined correctly. Geometric and dimensional constraints and even continuity are missing.

When you get an error message, expand it to read what the problem is with the model.

3D sketches should be related and defined in the same way as 2D sketches.

Tried and failed too... this is indeed frustrating. It works if you draw straight lines point to point without using arcs. Also tried a 2D sketch for the path but that "did not produce meaningful results". *sighs*

Will this work?

Instead of a 3d Sketch, I just used your existing layout sketch and make an axis through the center and then a parallel work plane. That could of been done anyway you needed. But then just created the path sketch on it.

Hi Spencer,

This usually means there is a tiny gap between segments. It would be easier to tell if you could share the file here or send it to me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com.

Many thanks!
