Insert AutoCad files

Hi, I inserted some drawings from AutoCad and they contained these blue points all over the sketch.

I tried to delete them by selecting the points, but it didnt work. Is there a way to delete them?

Hi! Are these points associated with the splines (fit-point or control-vertex)? If yes, they cannot be deleted in one shot. You will need to delete the spline or the point one by one. Please feel free the share the file here. The forum experts can help take a closer look.

Many thanks!

I'm new to Inventor so the way I modelled it might not be the most optimal method.

It looks like the points are associated with the splines. I have many more similar drawings with splines to insert into my model. This will result in my entire model being filled with blue points.

I could also draw all the sketches from scratch in inventor instead of importing them, but this would be quite time consuming as I have many drawings.
All the blue points are making my model to appear small, so make sure to zoom in.

Thanks

The original dwg is flawed - it appears that someone has converted splines to hundreds (thousands?) of arcs.

Did someone run Flatten and Explode in AutoCAD?

@j.nimbona

Can you Attach the original *.dwg file (before any editing) here?

Hi! Those points are the center points of the small arc segments. Those center points cannot be deleted.

Many thanks!

Unfortunately I can't share the original files, but it looks like the original files I received have the splines converted into arcs as well. Is there a way to undo this?

I attached one of the drawings that I copied over into a new file from the original drawing.

In that case I recommend that you use the dwg geometry ONLY as reference in recreating native geometry in Inventor.
