"As far as I know you can turn any sketch geometry (normal, projected or
auto-projected, adaptive or non) into construction and/or centerline
geometry using the toggle buttons."
See "Linetype of sketch geometry" in Help.
There are only four linetypes; Normal, Construction, Centerline & Reference.
"Reference
If your sketch is projected from a part edge, it is automatically assigned
a Reference linetype. Reference geometry is associative so that if the part
face it is associated with is modified, the reference geometry automatically
updates.
If you change reference geometry to another linetype it loses its
associativity."
The current Reference linetype is seen by Inv as being like the Normal
linetype when creating features.
I'd like to see Options of; Ref Normal, Ref Construction & Ref Centreline
with a default of Ref Construction.
I've already submitted this as a Wish.
In the meantime I'll continue to recommend my T&T.

Duncan,
As far as I know you can turn any sketch geometry (normal, projected or
auto-projected, adaptive or non) into construction and/or centerline
geometry using the toggle buttons.
You can also change the individual elements of derived sketches to
construction (or centerline), which I find very handy when using a single
master sketch to define the geometry of several related parts.
