sketch 7 is on the xy plane but the center points of sketch 7 and the xy plane are not in the same location. Can anyone figure out what the problem is?

I started having this problem when i upgraded from inventor pro 2016 to inventor pro 2018

Thanks

Sketch7 has a Fixed constraint.  I would never ever use a Fixed constraint.

It also has an extra horizontal constraint and an extra vertical constraint.  I would use the centerpoint rectangle tool instead (at the origin of course).

There is also a redundant dimension - I would equal (=) constraint instead.

I do not understand the logic of the way Sketch12 was created - looks like a lot of extra work to me.

forget about sketch 12. delete everything except sketch 7. even delete the rectangle in sketch 7 if you want and keep the circle. i'm only interested in making the origin of sketch 7 the origin of the xy plane

Hi Kamal,

You could relocate the coordinate system to origin. Right-click on Sketch7 -> Edit Coordinate System -> click on the center at the sketch coordinate system XY. and click on the origin (make it visible first). The coordinate system will be re-located to origin. Could you try it and see if it works for you?

Many thanks!
