Hello,

 

I am trying to get a nice render in Inventor 2014 pro and keep getting these wierd white dots all over haha i dont know how to explain it.

see attached screenshot, does anyone know if there is some ideal setup or is it meant to be like this?

Its a bug in 2014. And I don't believe it has been fixed yet.

It sounds like something has changed in the kernal for 2014 and thus the raytracing is nuked.  There's no fix atm (and potentially there might not be one) and a number of people are waiting for long-term advice from AD about it.  Read the topic for more info.
