Parts list not showing correct qty when suppressed parts exist and View Rep filter is applied

I've noticed an issue with quantities on parts list with suppressed components. I'm running Inventor version 2023.2.1.

It seems that adding a view representation filter to a drawing parts list causes issues with the qtys of suppressed components.

I've attached a simple drawing and model where I've recreated the problem. If add a view representation filter to the parts list, any suppressed components in that assembly get shown in the table. If I remove the view representation filter the table goes back to working as expected, with the suppressed components not being included.

Hi

I have no such problem with your files on my computer.
I also noticed that your attachment does not contain the view representation you mentioned.
For now, I can recommend this article:

Hi Russell,

The Design View Rep filter in PartsList is for the Assembly Design View Rep, not the visibility control within the drawing view. In your case, there are no invisible parts in the given Design View Rep. As a result, the quantity isn't overridden.

The two suppressed components are still considered visible per Design View Rep.

If I were you, I would just use the Model States to drive BOM and PartsList. Or, you prefer to control PartsList using Design View Rep filter. The behaviors can be confusing when the two are both enabled.

Many thanks!
