@SharkDesign
Hi, @kgilham just showed this to me and from what we were playing around with it IS snapping to the grid location.
In his example he offset by .25 and it placed it .256 away, if I used the mouse to try to offset without typing in a value it snapped to the same .256 location. So I am deducing that the snap to grid option is overriding the value you typed in.
Now I can see where this might appear to be a bug and I could be convinced that perhaps it should NOT work this way but in my opinion this is an over constrained situation. You are asking us to snap to grid and put it at a value that is not on the grid, which wins?
I can be convinced that snap to grid should work for mouse clicking and not "precise" input but that is not the way it has been working probably since the dawn of Inventor is my guess.
I would also be concerned that some users might be relying on this, i.e. snap it to the grid that is closest to .25, I can see some value in that workflow perhaps.
Now as an individual developer it is not my decision to change this behavior either way without factoring in the "other side" of the equation.
Kyle is going to escalate this with our team to see if changing this is a good thing for the majority of our users.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention assuming we have correctly identified what you are seeing.
