Moving component in Inventor Studio

Hi!
Anybody knows if it´s posible to relocate the triad without move the part at the same time to the place I want when moving components in Inventor Studio? I´m working with the 2015 version.
I´m going crazy 😞

I think you're on the right track, but instead of hitting "ok" (the green mark) after you redefine you should just continue positioning...
(in your gif you can see the redefine button return to the clickable "color" after you select the edge, so just continue after that)

Are there constraints holding the part in place?

No. It´s an assembly completly free of constrains cause I know constrains and move components are not compatible.

Hmm, wel i tried the workflow in 2016 and that worked.
So i don't know what might be different in your situation...

I'm not at work now, so i can't check anything.
Is it possible for you to share your assembly so others might help?

This is the assembly in question. It was modeled with the 2015 version of a file from STP.

Thank you.

Ok, i see the problem now... but maybe you can use that to your advantage.

I did this in 2016, but i think it should work the same in 2015:

Basically you just realign your part twice and move it the distance you need in between those realignments...

BTW, kudos on the beautifull animation!

No problem, Niels.

If it doesn´t work with the 2015 version I will try it at home with my 2016 student version at home.

Thank you so much.
