Model tree display bug in inventor 2020

When I double click on a part to edit it within my assembly, the part isn't highlighted in the model column on he left, and there's no way to find where it is in a big assembly. The other parts in the model tree remain the same color.

The only workaround I found is to collapse all, then double click on the part to edit it, it then get expanded and I can see in the tree where it is.

Is there  no way to report obvious bugs other than post it here ?

Hello @Anonymous,

I saw the difference of background color in your picture to indicate the active part, is there any differences between us?

Hope it helps!

Sorry, the display on my laptop didn't show any contrast.

I will try to find where to change the colors.

Best regards.

Is there any option to change these colors, as the contrast on my computer is not displaying it.

I've the same concern, did you find the setting to change the part background color in the tree?

If you select the part in the model window and right click and select find in model browser it will highlight and jump to that location.  If you do this before you double click to edit then it should be in the right area at least.

Are you asking how to get to the Find in Browser command?

I think the question in hand here isnot how to find in Browser but why have the colours (colors) changed to make things more difficult.  When I am working and I edit part from the screen it used to be obvious which part in the model tree I was editing, yes I can RMB and find in browser but why add an extra (In my opinion) backward step of making the contrast difficult to see.comparison between 2019, clear and obvious,  and 2021 difficult to see.  I just need to change the colour to be obvious, I am aware of all work arounds.

Thanks

G
