InvMark by TFI & Cadac, Inventor Performance Hardware Benchmark Tool with Leaderboard

Dear all - it's a pleasure to hand over to you, InvMark for Autodesk Inventor, a comprehensive hardware benchmarking solution designed entirely by myself, developed & hosted by Cadac Group, offered to the Autodesk community completely free of charge.

You can download InvMark for free from here

InvMark has been under intense continuous development for over 14 months, ensuring we release a fully featured and stable solution representative of the experience and knowledge behind it.  It runs as an addin within Autodesk Inventor, and is currently supported on Inventor 2021 and 2022.

InvMark has over a dozen test scenarios, including large 1000 part assembly pattern and constraint tests, large assembly drawing computation, FEA, Dynamic Simulation, multi style and context sensitive graphics tests, ray tracing and much much more.

InvMark grades your workstation/laptop and generates an InvMark score, along with a single-core and multi-core score based on how it performed on feature sets that leverage the CPU in different ways.  Each individual test is also graded separately allowing for finite comparisons between tests and hardware on a test by test basis.

InvMark has a public leaderboard where you can upload your score and compete against others in the Autodesk community, or visually compare your workstation to see how its performance sits against todays modern hardware.

Leaderboard.jpg

The leaderboard is feature rich with a full score report card available for each test, along with full system specs and reference data.  Once logged in, you can see your historical uploads as only your highest score makes it to the leaderboard.

My introductory video announcing the release is here:

We have also integrated a unique feature which enthusiasts may find especially fascinating, our hardware sensor logging.  Every InvMark test (unless disabled) will log all available hardware sensors, every second, to a local CSV file.  This file contains CPU clock frequencies per core, temperature, RAM usage, GPU load, VRAM load, fan speeds if available, if your system has a sensor we log the data for you to convert to a graph for evaluation.

Logging.jpg

I have created an extensive InvMark tutorial here which includes an overview of all tests, an explanation of all features along with a guide for how to use the hardware logging graph.

Thanks for your interest if you intend on trying out InvMark, we'll see you on the leaderboard 😉

I see others had this issue, but I did not see a solution.

I've run the Inventor Reset, I've tried the UNLoad the add-in and I've tried uninstalling the Add-in's ... but no love.

Any help would be appreciated .

This topic concerns the InvMark add-in for Inventor.  For installation and licensing help for Autodesk products (such as Inventor Nesting), try posting in the Installation & Licensing Forum.

Yes ... Yes it does ...
My Installation of InvMark works well ... until the end when it starts to turn on the ADD-IN's again. Then it crashes Inventor with this and another error.

Hi all,

same to my AddIn installation, but with Inventor 2024.

MSI Logfile says something wrong with "ImportCertificate.bat" Command. This works when run interactively.

2024-10-01_16-14-41.jpgAny hints to that?

Is the Plugin working also with Inventor 2024?

Best

Hi all - thanks for the reports, the dev is looking into it and I'll provide an update ASAP.  But yes InvMark should work on Inventor 2024 & 2025, it supports all versions going back to 2020.

Cheers

Neil

FYI - Things I tried without success,

Turning Off Auto Load Add-In's, Inventor CAM and Inventor Nesting.

Uninstalling Inventor CAM and Inventor Nesting.

Reinstalling Inventor CAM and Inventor Nesting.

Turning Off Auto Load Add-In, Factory: Layout/Simulation.

And Thank you for creating this tool. Whether it works for me or not, I appreciate your effort.

Hi all - apologies for the delay, AU and various other things have made it difficult for us to sort things out but we've just uploaded a new version to the website, if you can try that out it should resolve most of the issues I've seen here.

Uninstall the version you have now (if you were able to install it) and then give the new one a shot.

Thanks!

Hi, I tried to install the latest Version.

With following result:

MarkusGreifeneder3360_1-1729841537454.png

I tried to uninstall the "Edge WebView2-Runtime", but in Win10 it's not removable (greyed out), like mentioned in your youtube video.

Also tried a different pc with the same result....

Any idea what could help, to install this tool?

Hi Neil, first of all thank you for creating and maintaining this wonderful tool. We already used it in the past and were able to configure new pc's in a good and objective way.

We now tried to install the InvMark again on our current Windows 10 devices that run Inventor 2023, and just like #MarkusGreifeneder3360 we also get this error.

Would there already be a fix for this problem?

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as excepted. ... "

rubenvaneenoogheYGXKB_0-1734006637652.png

We don't get the error on Windows 11 devices. So for what we see for the moment, it seems to be a Windows 10 thing.

Kind regards, Ruben

Hello, I wanted to use this to test our fleet of (admittedly aging) worksations, but the msi file refuses to install on most of them, stating the following:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

Given I'm the support personnel and am clueless, I'm posting here for any clues. yes it installed without issue on my windows 11 brand new PC. It will not install on the older workstations running windows 10.

Upon further inspection, it looks like many others are having the same issue. Forgive me for beating a dead horse, but if there's any tests I can do, please let me know.

My very underpowered machine (Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, Radeon RX 570) sweated blood but did not crash during the test on Inventor 2026.

I just ran the Inventor Reset Utility, and InvMark is running all the way through as it should.

Hello, I'm getting wildly different results on a brand new system with an Ultra 9 285K CPU, without changing anything. I wiped the SSD and installed everything fresh, but it only got worse. On this run for example, the Multi-Core test scored only 2548https://invmark.cadac.com/#/detail/5629

On a previous run, the Multi-Core number was 13115. https://invmark.cadac.com/#/detail/5628

Has anyone seen behavior like this? I'm trying to figure out if it's a real problem with the system or just a glitch in InvMark.
