Inventor Part List - Subassemblies Sorting Help

Hello,

We have a Standard Sub-Assembly used lets say its a Caster.

This Caster has Multiple Parts and is used in larger Sub-Assemblies.

When these Larger Sub-Assemblies are brought into a main assembly and put onto a drawing. I would like to have a part list with a row of these Casters telling me how many are used in the main Assembly.

Structured will only give me one level down

Part list will give me all the components used in the Casters (Wheel, Plate, Pin, Ect...)

Is there a Way to Add the Casters to the Part list with out manually adding all the details?

Main Assem --> SubAssem --> Caster Sub Assem --> Parts

Thankyou

Hi! If I understand the request correctly, this can be done easily by changing the BOM Structure property for the Caster assembly. Open the assembly and go to Tools -> Doc Settings -> BOM -> change the structure from Normal to Inseparable. After that the Caster will be listed as one row without any subcomponents.

Many thanks!
