Inventor doesn't load object viewer after Windows reinstall

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I own a student license for Inventor and have recently reinstalled Windows on my computer. Back then, Inventor ran beautifully. Now, neither the Object Viewer Window nor the Startup windows show up. A screenshot is attatched.

This issue persists with both Inventor 2020 and Inventor 2021, also after repair and reinstall.

Any Ideas on how to fix it? A Google search doesn't return anything related.

Thanks

Hi! What is Object Viewer? Is it MyHome? Go to Get Started -> Home. Another option is to use Inventor Reset Utility (All Programs -> Autodesk -> Inventor 20xx -> Tools) to reset all settings back to install default.

Many thanks!

Hey, thanks for the answer.
With object viewer I mean the big central window with the 3D view of the
object. In fact, the main window on startup is also affected.
This is a fresh install of Inventor and all settings are as installed.

Hi! I think you are talking about MyHome. Go to Tools -> App Options -> General -> Show MyHome on startup.

Many thanks!

Hey,
No, that was enabled. Re-enabling it showed no difference whatsoever.
Anything else it could be?
