Hello.

Is there any possibility to be add a new thread in Inventor? If this is possible, how can I add a new thread?

Thank you very much!

Hi,

Of course you can. Please create a cylindrical hole or cylindrical draft, then, invoke thread command to create a thread on the surface.

Refer more from below link, hope it helps!

Or if you mean to add new thread types to the list, the link Xun gave also refers to the Thread.xls setup.

Have you restarted Inventor after making changes to the thread table file?

Not sure why you accepted my reply as a solution if it didn't work..

Anyhow, is this a new type of thread or adding to existing information?

@FatmeIsmail Please post your thread.xls file and indicate which thread (state which sheet and the thread specifics) you have added so we can ensure its formatted correctly..

Works just fine for me..

I'm going to have to assume that you may have multiple copies of the thread.xls folder in different locations on your computer and you just edited the wrong one..

Please check the following locations to see which is which..

tools..application options...file tab.. look at the folder location for the "Design Data (Styles, etc.)" section.

Also look in your project file under the "Folder Options" subfolder and look at the "Design Data (Styles, etc.. =)" location there..
