Inventor 2024 is now released

Hello Everyone,

Inventor 2024 is now released; please see these two links for more information around the new enhancements:

  1. Inventor Blog
  2. Online Help

Many of the enhancements originated from the Ideas board; the status of all implemented Ideas will be updated in the next few days.

A list of major issues addressed is also available in the Online Help here. The Inventor 2024 installer should be available from https://manage.autodesk.com/products.

Many Thanks,

Chris on behalf of the Inventor Team

Where are the remote (vault basic) content libraries?

Hi Peter,

Please refer to 2024 Remote Content Libraries .

You could get the Remote and Mold design content libraries from Account portal (Autodesk - Account)->Vault professional/Vault Basic-Server ->Libraries

Thanks

Thanks for coming in early with this; it was sorely needed, just for the bug fixes alone.

Lots of things to like in 2024 - thank you.

@svnuckova - The "What's New" PDF document is impressive at 63 pages - until you realise most of the pages are duplicates.

@Sila0658 we are working on the research & investigation on constraint enhancement, and this would be the future consideration on Inventor release. But it is not in a near term scope.  If you are available, could you please vote the idea https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/width-mate/idi-p/10471934? Many thanks!

@rhasell, yes, revision cloud is available in Inventor 2024, and please feel free to have a try. Thanks!

How do you download the files?

The only option available is the install button?

I don't want to install just yet, but I do want to download the files. (Plus online installers are terrible)

Not sure if the "Online installers are terrible" is a general comment aimed at all online installers, or Autodesk in particular - but I have to jump to Autodesk's defence here as their online installer gets better every time I use it.  Inventor 2024 was ready to use in minutes today - and it migrated all my settings - so now I can use either 2023 or 2024.

I tried the download button, It downloads a "Create_Installer_xxx.exe"

I am old school, I would like to download the files.

It does... but it's a different installer to the "Install now".

Let it do its thing.

I will give it a try, Autodesk and MS are in the same boat with their licensing and software downloads.

Never been happy with the subscription base, but we are forced into it. I still hate it though.

Do you still have access to the Classic view from your account? From that you can go to your product or collection, then from the View Downloads button you get to see the various other download methods:

Hope this helps,

InventorCAM is due for release around April 12th. I believe that Nesting is in early May, (final date is still to be confirmed).

Thanks

Chris

Hi Fabian, this is Martin from the Inventor Localization team. Thank you for taking the time to report this problem. It is a known issue and we are discussing how to fix it currently.
