Inventor 2016 Engrave Part Numbers To Individual Parts

I'm trying to set up my inventor 2016 so i can engrave the part number to individual parts, is there anyway to easily do this with??

The trick is to get the part number to be available as a "User Parameter" so you can use it in the "Text" command.  This is done with a little iLogic routine found in this article.  Once this is in your template, you can set a trigger for it and you are all set.  Placing the text using the text command is a manual process unless you can find an iLogic routine to do this also.

You can use any text in a sketch and emboss it on the part.  It will show in the drawing.  The drawing can be exported to dwg and embossed edge can be used to etch on laser.

Then it depends on how your engraver work.  Does it take a 3D file or dxf or manual input?
