Is ilogic usable if you do not have Inventor installed?  I always understood it had to work through Inventor on your computer in order to be used.

Thanks.

iLogic? Yes. It must be run inside of Inventor since it is an Inventor add-in.

Accessing Inventor's API? No.

- With Inventor Viewer downloaded it comes with the Apprentice Server Access, so some things can be accomplished.

- To run these, you need to code it in some way that you can run it. i.e.; vbscript routine, .exe file, excel macro... and so on and so-forth.

More information about what you are trying to accomplish would result in more direction as to what an appropriate route would be.

Hi @bgreenhii,

Once a designed product line is created in Inventor and configured with iLogic, it can be quite easily be pushed to a web page (internal or external) with Autodesk Configurator 360, where products can be configured by customers or sales folks.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

Thanks, Curtis.

What our folks are trying to do is set up a “thin client” system so we just
enter a part number and it creates a drawing for us to send to
manufacturing.

Our standards are done, it is the custom that is at issue. With nine
people that will be using the system, I am the only one with Inventor, but
they are

expecting everyone else to be able to perform the task through the “thin
client” set up.

Going to be interesting.
