iLogic Configuration Missing

Inventor 2023.1.1

I have an error showing up that the location of an external rule cannot be found (I imported my Application Options from another PC)

When I go to change it, the options are not there.

Any ideas?

Morning Ben - that makes things awkward 😂

It'll probably return if you reset the UI, but that removes all your hard work...  Try adding it back into the "Zero Document" environment using "Customise UI":

Very odd.. I don't know where it went!

Oh, not good!  And Reset Ribbon doesn't bring it back?

Attached is a copy of a "clean" 2023 ribbon to try.  If I try it, I can see the "iLogic Configuration" option.

EDIT - Looks like you can't attach zipped .xml files to posts.  I've renamed it to .txt

Still nothing. Might have to try a reinstall, something has gone a miss.

Ah ha... Tools > Add-Ins - Enable the iLogic add-in and restart Inventor.

That should save you a reinstall.

That was something else that I checked, it was enabled already.

This is the error when launching Inventor.

On 2022 Ilogic has there own import/export xml seperate to the applications object. You will have to have a file open and navigate to ilogic tab and export. This will export all the path settings to ilogic preference folder. This avoids having to remap manually the external rule locations.

I exported the options from Inventor 2023  and imported them into 2023. Nothing from 2022.

Hi! This could be an install issue. I would uninstall Inventor completely and reinstall it. Make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and .Net 4.8 is enabled.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

It was working fine until I imported new Application Options. Strange issue.

I will reinstall.

same problem on Inventor 2024. Suddenly the iLogic Configuration desapears, and re-install doesn't solve it.

Hi! Did you import Application Options from a different machine? Did you try Inventor Reset Utility?

Many thanks!

Yes, the full process was:

1) In Add-in manager, Unload the iLogic add-in and turn off Load automatically

2) Re-start inventor (I don't know if is needed, but doesn't harm)

3) In Customize user command, import a clean panel configuration (was hard, because everybody in the office has the same configuration)

4) Re-start inventor (again, doesn't harm if not needed)

5) In Add-in manager, turn Load automatically on and load iLogic add-in.

That's it. Now I need to do the same on the others computers because it starting to happen o there too.

Hi @gdeber - could you post the clean panel configuration XML file that you use in the Import step? (If you don't want to post it on here, please PM me.)
Are you running any 3rd party add-ins?

sure. that one I take from a new installation of inventor. In case that that doesn't work, the only solution is to re-install o install a new instance of inventor (ideally on a different pc) and export the configuration file to use (and store it on a safe location for futures needs 😄 )

I hope it is useful to you

Hi @gdeber - my mistake. I guess the clean configuration XML is not the one I'm looking for. Can you export the Customize settings from a computer that is having the problem and post that XML file? That might help me figure out what is happening.

Ok. I don´t know if I have a copy of that. I have cleaned the few computers with that problem. If any other show the same issue I gonna copy the configuration and send it to you.
