iDW detail view alignment error

Hi Autodesk,

Below are snapshots of an iDW created in 2018 and 2020. In Inventor 2018 and earlier the alignment of a view worked perfectly with the alignment working off the parts in the view. As you will notice the back of the profile is used to achieve the alignment. Now in 2020 you guys have managed to break something that has worked well. I am surprised how this bug hasn't been fixed this far. As you will notice in the second picture the view is actually aligned to the center of the view. So as you progress up the height of a section the protruding parts force the detail views to offset as shown. Could you please advise on the setting to turn this behaviour off. I am not sure who would need something like this but definitely we do not.

It looks like detail view alignments were broken in Inventor 2020 whenever you align a detail view to a base view and they both have the same view scale. 

In 2019, if base and detail were both of same view scale, it would align perfectly

In 2019, if base and detail view scales were different they would align center.

In 2020, even if the view scales were same, it would align to center. This is the mistake! 

The good news is that we detected the issue and it was fixed in 2021. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyway to fix this in 2020. I would suggest aligning the view manually and once you move to the latest version you should be able to leverage the correct behavior.

We are still working with Inventor 2021 and apparently there's no solution "yet" for this specific version.

The detail view has to be of same scale as base view in order for the alignment to work correctly, otherwise it will move to the center. It works ok for me and I am not seeing any issues. Would you mind elaborating or attaching a dataset so we can see what the issue is?
