How to Remove / Eliminate Undesired Sheet Sizes

All,

Good afternoon!  I've been recently asked by a customer if it's possible to remove unwanted sheet sizes from the drawing templates.  For example, if a customer doesn't want to release anything larger than a C-Sheet, can the D, E & F sizes be removed from the template?  I've not seen a way to do this and the only post I've found so far that is close to what I would like to do is this one from @Mark.Lancaster, where he is trying to rename the options.  If iLogic is an option, I'm down with that, just want to know what is possible.  If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and please see the image below.  Thanks in advance for any assistance, hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete

As far as I know..  That list is hard coded into the program and can't be changed..  Not sure an iLogic would work unless you are going to mimic that dialog/workflow.

Update:  Once your template is setup there's no need to worry about that interface or dialog..  SO i have to ask what is the concern then?

@Mark.Lancaster ,

Thanks for confirming my suspicions that the list is hard coded into the program.  I also agree with your statement about the templates and there isn't much of a concern.  The comments that I usually receive when I get requests like this are along the lines of "if a user has an option, eventually they will pick it".  So I believe they just wanted to know if undesired sheet sizes could be eliminated to remove the possibility of them ever getting selected.  Thanks again for the help and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete

At my last workplace, we had a simple iLogic rule and form that fired up whenever a new drawing was created that presented our restricted set of sheet size choices, and then placed the proper border and title block.  This could also be run at any time to select a different sheet size, and would then swap border & title block, too.  Worked very well, and nobody ever chose an oddball sheet size by accident.

Hi Pete,

Indeed, like Mark said, the formats are hard-coded. One proof is that, even if you don't use a template, the sheet sizes still exist. Try this.

Press Ctrl + Shift and click on New button -> select Drawing. This workflow creates a basic drawing with almost nothing. It is kind of like a bare-bone idw file. This kind of file is good for creating company standard template. There, you will still see the pre-defined sheet sizes.

Many thanks!
