Hi all.

Im making animations where i need to animate waterspray from a nozzle, but how?

I have tried making the waterspray transparent, but it still looks "flat".

Anybody got any ideas? ๐Ÿ™‚

Thx for your time.

What about just creating a triangular model that represents the flat water spray.  Then change the material to water.

This thread might give you some ideas as well.

Another thought would be to model it in Inventor, then animate it in 3D Max or Maya.

Sometimes you just need a good old reboot.

Thx for your input ๐Ÿ˜„

I fear it will look too much like a cone, and not the flat fan nozzle spray, but i will try to play around with it.

Any other suggestions?

In these cases I use a custom material with opacity maps

Thx a lot for your inspiration all ๐Ÿ™‚

I ended up with the following solution.

It's not great, but better than the initial solution.
