How to give torsional stiffness to a spring in FEA analysis?

Heey!

 

I am doing an fea analysis in Autodesk Inventor.
And I want to give a spring in my design a torsional stiffness of 750 Nm/rad, how can I do that?

 

I hope that someone can help me

So, between the hinges there must be a spring with a torsional stiffness of 750 Nm/rad

Carbon Fiber is not isotropic.

What is your purpose for doing this analysis - specifically, what do you want to know?

I want to determine the natural frequency of the beam.

 

 

There is a torsion spring between the hinge leafe and beam. 

I want to give the spring a torsional stiffness of 750 Nm/rad, but in Inventor I only can give the spring a normal or tangential stiffness

Hi! I don't believe you can assign torsion stiffness or torsion constant in FEA. It is because the property depends on shape. It is a calculated property, not an assigned property like Young's modulus or density.
