Grounding component in sub-assembly?

I have placed a sub assembly into an assembly. If I ground the sub assembly then it becomes frozen & no parts of the sub assembly move. In the sub assembly document I have one of its components grounded but this constrain hasnt carried over to the main assembly & I cant find a way of grounding a sub assembly component without grounding the whole sub assembly (see attached picture).

Is there a way of doing this?

Use Assembly Constraints for sub-assembly in main assembly.

You would also need to change the sub-assembly to "Flexible" if you wish for items in the sub-assembly to move. You can RMB on the sub-assembly and select "Flexible" from the menu.
