Hi @Anonymous and welcome to Inventor Forum.

Please tell us which version of inventor do you use, and if you have instaled the latest service pack.

I think this article will help you.

Hi @Fouad-l

I'm using Inventor 2017 and service pack is 4.

I dont have Inventor 2010 or 2011 to perform this test.

Is there any other possibilities?

Regards,

Dinesh

It sounds like to me the file has some corruption in it.  Is it possible to share here to see if others have the same results.  You may want to look in the oldversion folder in the same location where your file is stored.   Maybe the existing save/backed up file is good.

Hi! The error means Inventor has trouble loading certain segments of the part file. It is usually caused by corruption. Do you have prior versions of the ipt file?

Many thanks!

@Mark.Lancaster

It often happens during measurement. Will it be a problem because of a corrupted file?

Hi! It seems that you are running to a few corruption issues. I would like to double-check that you are trying to open files saved in 2017 or earlier releases on 2017, right? 2017 is capable of referencing 2018 ipt and iam files, which is called Future CAD workflow. But, you will need to install Update 4 to enable the ability.

Many thanks!

Hi @johnsonshiue,

I have installed the latest version of Inventor 2017, i.e.2017.4.

But in Properties --> iProperites __> Details, it shows as 2017.3. But build number is 256, which is the latest from 2017.4.

Hi @Fouad-l

This problem occurs normally in the assemblies.
It contains some parts (.ipt) which were created before 15 years.

Hi @Anonymous

Can you please try if this workaround solves the problem?

1) Open the component in Inventor. --> move up "End of Part" on top of browser --> save and close.

2) Open it  again -->move down "End Of Part" at the end of browser --> save.

Hi @Fouad-l

Thank you. Sure. I will try these steps.

This problem doesn't occur everytime. It occurs in different assemblies at different time.

Assume that, I am trying to open an assembly 1 and I got this error. So I will close the inventor and open it again. It works.

Like this, it happens for too many users.

I will try your solution andif it works, I will "accept as solution".
