Extrude from projected 3d drawing

Hello Guys,

So I have this 2d drawing that I projected using 3d sketch feature to my rounded shape.

My question now is, how can I extrude that projected "mesh" so that It gets that round shape?

You can use Split to split that round face by the projected sketch then use thicken/offset to cut away the split areas.

I've tried it but I only manage to split one shape at a time...

Could you try to do more than one if I send you the file?

You could use EMBOSS.

Follow these steps:

  • delete EXTRUSION 2; do not remove Sketch 2
  • use EMBOSS
    • select the closed loops of sketch2 (to thicken)
    • use "emboss from face" (first of three options)
    • use WRAP TO FACE (check)
    • use the button FACE to select the curved wall
    • fill in the depth
