Export Face to DXF

Hi,

I did a lot of Export Face As to usual parts no problem.

Please see the attached CAD file, my purpose is to create a dxf file for these texts to laser cut and batch marking. I my attachment when I select the inner faces I couldn't get the " Export Face As " option.

Is there any other best way in Inventor ?

Rgds

Hi Kiri

That's because Inventor exports only one face at a time as DXF.

To get what you want - export the whole part as DWG, open it in AutoCAD, Explode, Delete all the unwanted faces, Save what you need as DXF. It is a cumbersome workaround, but for one off design it might work.

Cheers,

Igor.

Create a sketch on the recessed part of the text and use 'Project Cut Edges' then export the sketch as dxf.

Hi! Another place is Inventor App store. There are quite a few tools enhancing the workflow. Please take a look.

Many thanks!
