!warning! this method of creating modelstates for frames has not been fully tested and may have side effects.
This method uses the demote function to make a subassembly that can have modelstate and then placing it the assembly where the frames are needed.
these modelstates can be created and edited the same way as any other modelstate
Steps to create result.
Step 1: Demote frames
Step 2: save the new sub assembly and place it into other assemblies where they are needed
and that is basicly it.
Result after creating modelstates:

Hi! After the frame members are demoted, the associativity between the members and the skeletal part will be broken.
Many thanks!

hey @johnsonshiue
is there a way to see if the associativity have been broken and what would the consequences be ?
thanks in advance

i don't see anything that is broken and there are no warnings anywhere not even when i am demoting. also my frames function as they normally would.

Hi! If it works for your case, that is great. But based on the way Frame Gen works, unless there is a dedicated Frame Gen Demote command, such operation can lead to associativity breakage.
Many thanks!
