direction face in sheet metal

Hello everybody.
I notice a problem in the inventor sheet metal environment by performing the following operations:
- New sheet metal part
- I create an offset plane from the central plane
- I mirror the plane just created and as a reference I use the central plane
- On this last plane, I create a sketch and apply the Face function
The preview shows me a direction of application of the thickness, while at the time of creating the solid, the direction appears to be the opposite.
I found this thing only in the sheet metal environment (not with extrusion) and on the 2022, 2021 and 2020 versions.
Do others find this anomaly?
I attach example in 2022 version and images.

I see the same and that is not correct.

@johnsonshiue Would it be possible that you investigate this with the development team to see how this can be solved.

Thanks in advance

I'm on '21 and it does as it should. You might want to check your settings. Send the example in a ver '21 and I'll see if I can find it. I don't have that problem.

I have seen various changes in Inventor 2022.

This could be possibly one of them!

Hi Mirko,

How are you doing? This is an interesting find. I am able to reproduce the behavior in all releases on my machine. It is not unique to 2022. This has something to do with the default direction of a Face. In theory, like Extrude, it should default to the normal direction of the sketch (workplane). In this case, the normal direction is the opposite. I cannot explain the behavior. I will work with the project team to understand it better.

Many thanks!

Problem solved sort of. The glitch is with the mirrored function. When you just offset a plane to the same distance then it works as normal. Your sketch is taking direction flow from the referenced plane. That's an approach that I normally don't use. I generally work with created plane and then mirror the features. If you change that procedure then it should be smoother for you.Face Dir2 Correction.jpg

I forgot to ask if your in Australia or Ireland. Things are backwards in those counties.
