Delete Constraints Not Unsuppressed In Any Model State Etc...

Would it be possible to have a feature in Inventor which can delete any constraints that are not used in any model state, i.e those suppressed in all model states.

In addition to this (although I'm not sure if and how it would work) could we have some sort of purge / consolidation of constraints where they do the same job but have a different ID.

For example, in the attached video, constraints Flush:1 and Flush:2 are actually doing the same job, but are in different suppression states so function ok without conflict. If both constraints are subsequently made unsuppressed, Flush:2 shows a blue dot with exclamation mark to signify it is performing the same job and can be either suppressed or deleted as required.

I think, in addition, it would be useful to purge whilst maintaining the constraints suppression state in each model state. This should de-clutter the feature tree, especially where there are lots of constraints and / or model states.

Many thanks,

Gareth

If you are familiar with iLogic, this could be done by writing a rule to interrogate the constraints and deleting the ones that are redundant or not used.  I would still add this to the idea station to see if they can add it into the base program.

Hi Andrew, I have used ilogic, but am not sure where to begin with something to reliably delete redundant or used constraints.

I'll add my original post to the idea station and see what happens, thanks for the tip! 😎👍
