Define new sketch symbol

I'm trying to define a sketch symbol, I want a circle with a letter in it, but I want the letter to be editable so I can place lots of symbols with a different letter.

Can someone tell me how to do this. I've tied but all I get is a circle with "A" in it that can't be edited. If I edit it then all the symbols on the drawing are changed.

In the Symbol Text Editor dialog, you need to choose Prompted Entry.

That way you are being prompted for value and it can be changed later on via right-click Edit Field Text.

Here is how to do the symbol:

But I could not find the option "Promted Entry" from the drop down menu. Why ?

You should have started a new discussion thread and linked back to this Solved thread for reference.

Q1. What version of Inventor are you using (including Update number)?

Q2. Can you create a Screencast recording of the behavior that you observe (from the start)?

Hi! It looks like you are in Leader Text or Annotation Text dialog. Prompted Entry is only available within Text in Sketch Symbol. Please share the file you are working on if you cannot figure out.

Many thanks!

I have one more query. Now I have set of "Promted Entry" fields as shown below. But how can I change their order how it appears on the Edit Property Field ?

Hi! Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to sort it. You will need to delete and recreate in the correct order.

Many thanks!
