Converting user made Tube & Pipe fitting back to a regular part, can it be done?

As I learn how Tube & Pipe works, I made a part (oil sump) with a T & P connection for the NPT drain plug.  Now when I go to insert the sump into an assembly it asks for an existing connection, which in the case of my sump doesn't have one to connect to.  Also the 'place grounded at origin' option no longer is available.

Short of restoring my part from a backup, is there a way to convert a user made T & P part back to a regular part?

I'm using Inventor 2020.

Thanks, Matt

I found this old topic that might help:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/how-to-remove-tube-and-part-authoring-from-part/m-p/24...

If it doesn't, try searching some more on removing authoring from parts.
There is no direct way to do it, so either using some code like in the topic i linked or restoring an unauthored backup like you already suggested yourself.

Hope it helps.

As simple as the VBA code is, it seems that it would be a simple matter for Adesk to add a de-authoring tool in Inventor.
