Content Centre thumbnail view

When using Content Centre, in the Favourite’s section, the Tree View will not default to Thumbnail View. Every time I close the Content Centre it reverts back to Tree View.

Any ideas on a solution?

All the Content Center settings file is located at C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\Content Center\Settings.

You could find search result, favorites, history and etc.

But there is a limitation to let the thumbnail view as default viewing.

I just gave it a quick try and it doesn't seem to remember that setting in 2014 either.
I do get little "thumbnails" next to the parts in tree view, not sure if those were always there...

For 2014, if you use server content center, the thumbnail is located at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Content Center\PC\Thumbnail

Hi!  This is an old thread. I am sorry I am a bit lost here. Do you mind starting a new thread with the behavior you are seeing? Or, add some snapshots describing the behavior.

Hello Johnson,

it's about to pin the preference view on Content Center Favorites (see images attached). We have two options for the icons view : Tree View and Thumbnail View.

If we set the Thumbnail View (large icons -> easy to understand and select) when call again the Place from Content Center the view for the Favorites is set back to default Tree View.

Our requirement is to pin the preference view on Content Center Favorites once set and maintain it.
