Can flexible sub-assemblies be moved in DS?

Hi, some days ago kirash4 asked a question in this thread:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-general-discussion/how-to-edit-this-part-with-quot-base-quot-...

The part looked interesting, and therefore I've searched for further info and found this:

http://exiii.jp/hackberry--eng.html

I've looked into the HackBerry forum and found Inventor files for the system. I downloaded them from GitHub and took a deeper look. I've made some changes with parts and assemblies, mainly for structural improvements, and added several constraints.

How to move flexible assemblies in DS.jpg

Meanwhile I'm having a clean assy structure, and I'm trying to move the whole system in DS, time by time. I can do:

- Rotate the orange mount versus the basic arm (0s to 4s)

- Swivel the hand versus the orange mount (4s to 8s)

Next step would be moving three outer fingers (all same flexible sub-assy coupled with links) in DS. But here I'm stuck. I didn't find a way for doing this.

So let me ask: Can several flexible sub-assemblies be moved in DS?

Thanks for hints

Walter

You might need to right click and select Retain Degrees of Freedom in DS.

Thanks, Jeffrey.

Meanwhile I've tried with a simplified assy. I think, I can proceed. Zip with MP4 file is attached.
